Refund Policy
This refund policy applies to SynthMachine, a downloadable Windows and macOS VST3 instrument sold by Modandis through Gumroad.
Digital product
SynthMachine is delivered digitally. After purchase you receive package access through Gumroad and a license key plus activation through this site. Because the product is downloadable software with offline activation, refunds follow the rules below.
60-day refund window
You may request a refund within 60 days of purchase for any reason. The clock starts on the purchase / license date.
Contact Modandis at modandismusic@gmail.com with your purchase email and Gumroad order number or Order ID, and a short note that you want a refund.
Refund amount (not full)
Approved refunds are 80% of the purchase price, minus non-refundable Gumroad and payment processing fees. The remaining share covers the unlock and use you already received (including any offline activation file that may keep working until it expires).
Modandis approves the refund amount in Gumroad before money is returned. By purchasing, you agree to this partial-refund rule for eligible requests inside the 60-day window.
After 60 days
No refund after 60 days from purchase. At that point the sale is final for seller goodwill refunds. While your license stays active you can keep refreshing a ~60-day activation file on the Activate page.
What happens when a refund is issued
The related SynthMachine license is revoked on our servers. Future activation and refresh requests for that license are blocked.
Any activation.xml already on your computer may continue working until its signed expiration (normally up to about 60 days from when it was issued). That residual offline use is why refunds are partial, not full.
Activation files (not a short rental of the product)
An activation file is machine-specific and expires after about 60 days. While your license stays active, you can refresh it on the Activate page. Sharing an activation file with another computer will not unlock SynthMachine there.
Other cases
Duplicate purchases on the same account may qualify for a refund of the extra license under this same 60-day / 80%-minus-fees rule if you contact support with both order references.
Refunds are not a way to keep using a revoked license. Sharing license keys, sharing activation files, or trying to exceed the one-computer activation limit is abuse and may lead to revoke without a goodwill refund.
Where consumer law in your country requires a remedy, Modandis will comply with applicable legal obligations.
How to request a refund
Use the button below while you are still inside the 60-day window. That starts verification, then ends your license immediately so you cannot activate or refresh for that purchase. Money is not returned automatically — after your license ends, email modandismusic@gmail.com with your purchase email and order number so we can process the partial refund (80% minus fees) in Gumroad.
Email us before requesting a chargeback or dispute.
End license and request refund
Only available within 60 days of purchase. This does not move money by itself; it stops the license so you cannot activate or refresh while a refund is pending.
After you proceed, you are most likely to get a refund. We are sad to see you go — hope to see you in the future ❤
Verification
Prove this purchase, then confirm. We will end the matching active license if you are still inside 60 days.
Payment processing
Approved partial refunds are processed through Gumroad to the same payment method used at checkout. Processing time depends on your bank or card issuer.
